Crystal balls have been used for scrying for thousands of years. Scrying is the art of looking into a reflective surface, such as glass, water, a mirror, or a crystal, to gain mystical insight.

Most everyone is familiar with the image of a gypsy fortune-teller gazing into her crystal ball and divining someone’s future. Along with this image comes the common misconception that crystal balls have magical powers that enable them to foretell the future.

Crystal Ball
However, the images seen with a crystal ball aren’t the foretelling of future events, but rather images from deep within one’s subconscious mind, and the crystal ball is the door through which these subconscious thoughts can be accessed. When using a crystal ball, a trance-like state is induced that dissociates one’s consciousness, enabling information from the subconscious to pass through the mind’s eye. It is here the images are seen, not in the crystal itself.

Selecting a Ball
Most crystal balls are clear and made of glass, lead crystal, reconstituted quartz, or natural quartz. Although clear quartz is the most common crystal used for scrying, smoky quartz, amethyst, beryl, selenite, and obsidian have also been used.

Most crystal gazers prefer a ball that is at least 4”-5” in diameter so reading is easier and less straining, but a 3” ball works just as well. As per my experience I am using the crystal ball approx 3" to 4" size. I wouldn’t recommend using one much smaller than that.

Cleansing
When you get your ball, wash it using a soft cloth, water, and mild soap. This will not only make your ball clean physically, but also help cleanse the ball’s energies as well.

To completely cleanse your ball of any previous and/or negative energy, it is best to smudge it as well. To smudge, simply light a sage smudge stick and pass the ball through the smoke several times. Your crystal ball should be cleansed (smudged) before each use.

Handling and Storage
A crystal ball is very personal. You shouldn’t let anyone else touch it as their energies and subconscious thoughts will pass onto it and “contaminate” your ball, causing inaccurate readings. The ball may also lose its charge, or your personal influences with it may become weakened and/or corrupted.

When not in use, you should wrap your ball in dark cloth and keep it in a light-proof box in a place where it will not be touched by others.

Charging
To charge your ball, place it in the light of a full moon (when the light is strongest) for several nights. This will also make it easy to remember when to recharge it.


Do NOT place your ball in direct sunlight. This will weaken the ball’s magnetism and may render it unable to draw images. This is why it should be stored in a box, away from light. 

Crystal ball gazing takes a lot of practice and patience, but in time you will become more receptive and more adept at reading the crystal.

Decoration with a purpose: Place a gemstone sphere in a room or on your bedside dresser or office desk to emanate a particular energy that you feel is needed.

For example, a rose quartz sphere at your bedside surrounds the room with love. A crystal ball will cleanse the room of negativity, while a jasper sphere will emanate protection. Bring money to your business with a malachite sphere on your desk. Increase your luck with the stock market with a black tourmaline sphere.

  

Crystal Ball Gazing: A Crystal Ball used for gazing should be kept wrapped in black silk. When using the Crystal Ball for gazing it is best to hold the Crystal Ball in your hands with the black silk between your hands and the Crystal Ball. You may use a stand for the ball if you find holding the ball uncomfortable.

You must experiment to find what time of day or night is best for you. You must relax and sit passively. Make sure you are comfortable. Take several deep breaths. You must have patience. Concentrate on a question.

Often colors are seen the Crystal Ball. Green, blue and violet are excellent omens. Red, orange and yellow are negative omens and you must take care. Black is unfavorable and much care must be taken until it is no longer seen.

A white brilliance is very favorable for you, meaning your life is on the right track and will be improved. You may see movement or even visions in your Crystal Ball.

Pyramid- How it Works and Uses

Structure of Pyramid

"PYRAMID" is a Greek word consisted by two words 'PYRA' + 'MID' where the term PYRA means "FIRE" and MID means "Center Core". Hence it is said that an Object which contains "FIRE" (here the deeper meaning of Fire refers to the energy field) in its Center core or Nuclei. This shows that Egyptian people were fully aware of the deeper meaning of FIRE and were using it accordingly thousands of years ago.

A pyramid is a structure whose outer surfaces are triangular and converge to a single point at the top, making the shape roughly a pyramid in the geometric sense. The base of a pyramid can be trilateral, quadrilateral, or any polygon shape, meaning that a pyramid has at least three outer triangular surfaces (at least four faces including the base). The square pyramid, with square base and four triangular outer surfaces, is a common version.

A pyramid's design, with the majority of the weight closer to the ground, and with the pyramidion on top means that less material higher up on the pyramid will be pushing down from above. This distribution of weight allowed early civilizations to create stable monumental structures.

Birthstone Gems

Until this point on my blog I have focused on what I consider to be the most important primary meanings and powers of gemstones, meanings that apply to the bearer no matter who he or she may be. But there are other stones that hold enhanced power for certain people depending on their month of birth. These are called birthstone gems. The primary meanings of these gemstones still apply to the bearer, with but with extra intensity. It is also believed that wearing the birthstone for your month brings you good luck in general. Some also believe that birthstones simply correspond to a month, and that if you wear the birthstone of the present month, you will receive the increased power from that stone. I personally don't subscribe to this, I believe the increased power corresponds to your month of birth only.

The concept of a birthstone gem stretches all the way back through history to Biblical times, and has been recorded in many cultures. Which stones correspond to what month and the birthstone's meaning for the bearer differ from culture to culture, but the Tibetan birthstones dating back to the 15th century are often considered the standard list.

Another modern list of birthstones corresponding to months was adopted by the National Association of Jewelers in 1912. Just how much traditional brithstones played an influence in the choice of gemstones I don't know, but I have heard that it was influenced by birthstones used in Poland around the 17th centurey. but I myself prefer the Tibetan list. Some of the stones are the same on the Tibetan list and the Modern list.
